RAE: Prayer Times & Quran

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

In short

RAE does not know who you are. There is no account, no sign-in, no tracking, no advertising and no analytics. We do not run a server that receives your data.

What stays on your phone

Your place, prayer settings, alerts, prayer tracker, missed prayers, bookmarks, last-read verse, adhkar counts, zakat figures and downloaded recitations are kept only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Location

If you tap "Use my location", RAE asks for your location while the app is open, once, to find the nearest city for prayer times and the Qibla direction. It is not sent to us. "Mosques near me" asks Apple Maps for mosques around your place; that request goes to Apple under Apple's privacy policy. You can always choose a city instead.

Prayer alerts

Alerts are scheduled on your device by iOS. They do not pass through any server of ours.

Listening to the Quran

Recitations stream from the Islamic Network audio service (cdn.islamic.network). When you play or download a verse, your device requests that audio file from their servers, which see your IP address as any website would. RAE sends them nothing else.

Siri, Shortcuts and search

"Next prayer" in Siri and Shortcuts is answered on your device. The surah list is added to your iPhone's own search index; nothing personal is included.

Children

RAE collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
